Donald is an artist, educator, consultant & private trainer.
Donald brings 37 years of broad experience to help people master their digital information and technology for career, leisure, and everyday life. He has guided thousands of students with patience and humor – qualities well-suited for smoothing the sometimes scary edge of digital learning.
Donald's teaching career began in 1983 when he was chosen as one of the original handful of instructors at the School of Visual Arts nascent Computer Art Center. He enjoyed an 11-year tenure at SVA, becoming Director and Chairperson. He oversaw the growth of the center into a full-fledged Computer Art Department offering both a BFA degree and a robust continuing education catalog.
Donald was also a pioneer in the newly emerging area of online instruction from 1999 through 2010, teaching an international roster of students via one of the first and best online schools, Sessions.edu. At Sessions, he developed courses in Photoshop, Digital Photography, and Quark which he taught to over 6,000 students.
Donald currently offers teaching, private training and consulting for groups and individuals in the NYC, Westchester, and Connecticut areas. He specializes in fun, useful and powerful digital devices such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac and Apple Watch.
His offerings cover a wide range of software as well as innovative and timely courses related to creativity and digital awareness.
Donald has no pets, but many bicycles, which he rides and loves.
